Flow Communications

Pridwin Preparatory School is a small private school for boys in Melrose, Johannesburg, with a rich history, beautiful grounds and the highest standards of academics, sport and culture.

Flow was briefed to build a classic, clean and functional website for the school, providing practical, user-friendly information for parents and for marketing purposes.

Terine Reddy, personal assistant to headmaster Selwyn Marx, worked closely with Flow on the project. “We had high expectations for the type of website we wanted to create. I was very pleased with the work done by Flow Communications, especially [head of project management] Gail Cameron’s tremendous support and assistance.”

Key to the site was mobile optimisation, ensuring usability on all devices, a calendar to feature all school events in various categories, and an online application form for the school and for music lessons.

It was also important to keep the school’s culture top of mind – Pridwin was named after King Arthur’s ship, Pridwyn, and the legend of King Arthur is incorporated in many aspects of school life. The distinctive sword in the stone at the entrance is echoed in various parts of the school. The iconic sword now also lives on the home page of the website.

“Flow Communications worked hard to create what we had envisioned for our school’s website. Not only were they knowledgeable and efficient in their work, but they also offered suggestions and creative ideas throughout the process, while adding features to our website,” said Reddy.

“I was impressed with the quality of work, customer care and meticulous attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the choice of using Flow Communications.”
