The Soweto Festival Expo is back and this year it’s going to be bigger and better than ever. The festival takes place at the Joburg Expo Centre at Nasrec from September 23 to 25.
Flow Communications is excited to be part of the festival through the design and development of the festival’s new website, http://www.sowetofestivalexpo.co.za.
The festival is a great spring event for the family. The fusion of culture, business, sports and entertainment provides something for everyone, and there is plenty to see and do, with more than 500 exhibition stalls to choose from and sports activities for adrenaline junkies.
Flow’s sister company, Flow PR, saw that word got out and ensured people were excited ahead of the event.
“The Soweto Festival Expo is yet another demonstration of the attractiveness of Flow Group’s 360-degree service offering model, as the client is serviced by no less than four different units within the group, including graphic design, web development, writing services and public relations,” says Flow PR CEO Shoni Makhari “A project of this magnitude can only be executed successfully through an integrated communications approach such as the one Flow has been able to put together.”
The entertainment line-up features some of South Africa’s top music performers, including Teargas, Liquideep, Khuli Chana, Jamali, Goldfish and Dj Zinhle, while radio and TV personalities will also be joining the festivities.
Flow PR’s account executive, Tshililo Ragimana, ensured relevant people were constantly informed of the event’s line-up. “Working on the Soweto Festival Expo has been challenging and exciting at the same time. I have loved every moment of working on this project, and I have grown so much as an individual. My day-to-day job on this project is to liaise with the media on behalf of the client, lobby for media interviews, interact with the client on the status of the project, and perform media monitoring to determine issues that affect the client.”
The Soweto Festival Expo website is attractively designed, easy to navigate and informative about what the festival has to offer. By viewing the programme‘s page, the media section and history page, you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s on, how the expo started and how it came to be as it is today. If you’re on the move, then keep in touch via our mobi site.
Soweto Festival Expo tickets are available at Computicket or at the gate. Adults pay R30, kids and pensioners R10 and children under the age of six enter for free. Gates are open daily from 10am to 9pm.
The festival is a great platform for exposing South Africa’s youth to the many opportunities this country has to offer, as well as contributing to the economic development of the Soweto community.
Make sure you don’t miss out. Ziyakhipha! (It’s happening!)
