Flow Communications is very proud to be working with Mariëtte du Toit-Helmbold and her exciting new destination and tourism marketing agency, Destinate.
“Destinate” is a new term only recently added to dictionaries, which as a verb, means to destine, design or choose – a perfect name for a company that specialises in destination marketing strategy.
Flow worked closely with Mariëtte to create Destinate’s corporate identity and logo, and online presence, including the website (www.destinate.co.za), Facebook page and Twitter handle.
Flow worked hard to get Destinate’s logo just right – something that was classic yet modern, something timeless but not old-fashioned, and something that spoke to Mariëtte’s personal touch. Once the corporate identity had been developed, we created unusual business cards with a letterpress feel, making them tactile and memorable.
The site showcases the services are offered by Destinate, includes a section for testimonials from respected names in the tourism industry, and also demonstrates Mariëtte’s blogging prowess!
According to the website, “Destinate is an international specialised destination and tourism marketing agency. We partner with tourism organisations, destinations and private-sector brands to navigate the complex and competitive world of destination marketing and management.
“We are passionate about creating and implementing strategies for tourism, and working in partnership with people and organisations to do ground-breaking work that transforms people’s lives and helps to grow the business of tourism.”
Before launching Destinate, Mariëtte was the CEO of Cape Town Tourism for nearly a decade, and the organisation boasted many notable achievements under her leadership during this time. For the last five years of her tenure, Flow was Cape Town Tourism’s official web and e-marketing partner, and we established a good working relationship in this time.
“Flow is the perfect digital marketing partner for Destinate,” says Mariette. “They really get digital marketing, and understand the importance of a customer-centred approach to marketing built on solid content. It has been a joy working with the team at Flow; they are innovative, flexible and always go the extra mile. I love that they are equally excited to work for big and small clients, delivering excellent and tangible results.”
Looking to the future, Mariëtte says: “I look forward to working with destinations and the tourism industry to unlock opportunities and have a positive impact, applying what I have learned over the past 10 years as CEO of Cape Town Tourism and my passion for destination marketing and tourism. There is a big gap in destination and tourism marketing, and there are so many destinations and businesses that can benefit from the skills I have developed over the past few years. The ability to contribute to grow the sector is hugely exciting! I love being able to work with multiple sectors and destinations.”
